Recall Ngozi Akakem, the woman who pointedly accused her friend of sleeping with her husband.Who beat, stripped, filmed and published her friends nudity on the blogsphere and is currently standing trial in magistrate court Owerri Imo state.
The case against Ngozi, who was set to appear for trial in the Owerri Magistrate Court on Wednesday on charges of criminal conduct, has been withdrawn, the NPF confirmed on Wednesday.
In what appears to be Nkiru’s greatest mistake in her quest to get justice by withdrawing the case took a different dimension when Ngozi who was evading arrest was finally nabbed a couple of minutes after the case was withdrawn.
It was drama when Ngozi refused to be rearrested as all her effort to evade arrest proved abortive when police entered vehicle and coerced her to drive to the Imo state CID.
When malizumedia contacted Nkiru on why she choose to withdraw the case, she said she is not certain of getting justice in Imo state due to the defendant family’s influence in the state. Hence her decision to transfer the case to Abuja.

“I was angered by the fact that the people handling the case expunged charges which allowed Ngozi to secure bail, after which, the statement was amended and the charges were added, till date they are yet to provide Ngozi’s accomplices (the gun wielding man and Confera Kenneth (Nee Anumudu, the lady behind the camera). I will like my case be transferred to Abuja where I believe I will get Justice without any interference” she said
The Commander Scorpion squad in charge of the case confirmed the incident. He said the Lady will be remanded until she is transferred to Abuja where her case will be reopened. The Commander was visibly angry that the said Ngozi Akakem till now is not remorseful about her actions.
