Ahead of the June 2, 2018 national convention of the All Progressives Congress, a former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, met with President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday.
Oshiomhole is contesting the national chairmanship of the ruling party.
Buhari and Oshiomhole met behind closed doors for about two hours today at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The former governor was accompanied to the meeting by the chairman of the All Progressive Governors’ Forum, Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.
After the meeting, Oshiomhole and Okorocha refused to address State House correspondents on their mission to Aso Rock.
President Buhari had recently asked all the APC governors to throw their weights behind Oshiomhole for the party’s topmost position.
